Hollie Van Horne graduated from Beaver High School in Beaver, PA. She then received her B.A. from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA and eventually her Master's Degree from Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio. She is certified to teach reading K-12, speech 7-12, and English 7-12. She has taught language arts, reading, acting, public speaking, communications and creative writing for many years in Alliance City Schools. During her teaching career, she directed the school plays in many high schools as well as AHS, coached track and field for three years, coached the speech and debate team at AHS for seven years, and served as advisor on field trips and school clubs. Hollie is currently an adjunct professor at Kent State University, where she teaches College Study Strategies.
She has acted, directed, and taught acting classes with the following community theaters: The Regent Playhouse, Youngstown Playhouse, Salem Community Theater, Oakland Center for the Performing Arts, Stage Left Players, and Move Over Broadway Productions.
She owns her own business called Time Travelers, has published her own time travel series and mystery novels, and her books have been accepted for distribution from these national distributors: Ingram, Baker and Taylor, and Brodart.
She lives in Columbiana, Ohio, with her husband, Bruce, and her dog, Louis. She loves to travel, ride horseback, dance, sing, act, collect antique clothing, collect theater costumes and wigs, collect porcelain dolls, collect watches and clocks, is a voracious reader of historical journals, diaries, and history books, and is fascinated with old photos and paintings.
Hollie is a Reiki Master teacher.
